We have long held a dream to help the babies in Africa who have been left orphaned by Aids. The first project to fulfil this dream was to connect to Noah's Ark in central Johannesburg, South Africa and buy a house which has become the home for orphans and a skill centre for disadvantaged and AIDS victim women.
Noah’s Ark is an inner-city charity established to assist people who have no-one else to look after them.
Their aim to help disadvantaged and unemployed men and women to learn new skills in order that they can support themselves.
They provide food parcels for patients in hospital and food for orphans, child-headed families and street children. They also try to provide employment for women with HIV/AIDS and give day-care for street children (mostly under 5 years old).
They are currently building a home to give shelter to street kids and AIDS orphans and a day centre for women to provide them with food and work opportunities.
Anne Jones from Ripple has donated a truck to deliver and collect food for the Noah’s Ark projects, sewing machines to provide work opportunities and now given them funds for a new home/centre. Anne has visited Ida and Africa from Noah’s Ark on several occasions and has been incredibly moved by their work and dedication. |
