Catherine -
Catherine is a midwife working from
the local clinic and helps Cary monitor and collect microloans
for the women in her community and keeps a motherly eye
on them all. She herself lost three of her eight children
and has a full and compassionate heart for the suffering
of many of the mothers in the region who struggle with
a high infant mortality rate. She lives in a mud hut
without water or electricity but has raised enough money
through her own microloan projects to put her boys into
school.
Agnes –
Agnes has a small farm of her own and specialises in the breeding and care of
goats. As well as working at her local clinic this energetic and vital lady still
finds time to administer the loans for her community. She also monitors the Goats
for Grannies project and her understanding of the animals and her medical experience
have proven invaluable to all the projects for the women in her region. |
